Workshop Facilitator

Iram Green, P.Eng., has facilitated a number of RETScreen Training sessions and is a Canmat Energy approved NRCan RETScreen Trainer. At Prism Engineering, he is involved in all aspects of mechanical systems performance analysis and enhancement , including normalizing heating fuel and electrical consumption with respect to energy use drives. He has experience in performing energy studies, and calculating energy savings for various energy conservation measures. Iram provides conceptual and construction mechanical design drawings and specifications and carries out site reviews of installations. His background in feasibility and risk analysis studies, combined with his keen interest in sustainability and energy efficiency, make him a valuable part of Prism's training team.

Iram has facilitated several RETScreen training courses, including:

Natural Resources Canada (February 2014)

As a Canmat Energy approved trainer, Iram facilitated a seminar for over 150 Vancouver energy professionals to promote awareness of the RETScreen Plus software.

Fortis BC (June 2013)

Iram used the new RETscreen Plus module to review performance of boiler retrofits and demonstrated the results to the 50 Fortis BC Energy Specialists. The session was sponsored by Fortis BC as a part of their regular training sessions.

Fortis BC (December 2012)

Iram provided a customized three-day RETScreen Training workshop for Fortis BC personnel. The workshop took place at the Okanagan College. Topics covered include energy and cost savings, emission reductions, financial and risk analysis.

Natural Resources Canada Workshops for the Royal Canadian Air Force (February and November 2013)

At the Comox and Moosejaw Air Force bases, Iram and his co-facilitator collected and reviewed energy audits, building data, and energy data, which they used to create workshop materials to provide real case examples of how RETscreen is used to assess building systems.

Joint Project between Prism Engineering and BCIT (September, October and December 2012)

Iram taught a three one-day RETScreen® training sessions for energy managers, building managers and operators and other professionals. The sessions helped participants develop the skills they need to use the RETScreen® software to evaluate a variety of technologies and will include practical hands-on experience using the tool.
